Project Make Waves Gives Back
Founded by Tryston Brown and Roy Sharma; developed in their student organization, the Glenelg Country School Business Incubator
Mission Statement
The mission of Project Make Waves is to develop and enrich communities by honing elements of sneaker culture. As part of our Spring Service initiative, we aim to provide running and athletic shoes for student athletes who are in need. As well as highlight athletes who are excelling in their own communities. Our project was started to help athletes who couldn't afford the shoes they needed to compete and give them a fair chance to become athletes they are inspired to be. Overtime, it has evolved into an entity that allows students to get involved with athletics and uplifts those already participating. Since our team is made up of student athletes, we know the importance of looking good and feeling comfortable to perform at our full potential in an athletic setting. These shoes would not only open the door for our recipients to many opportunities such as college scholarships, but it also allows them to create team bonds and memories with their teammates that can last a lifetime.
